GMC Sierra EV crushes range test with 422 miles and a 2025 boost coming

The GMC Sierra EV actually went 422 miles in the MotorTrend Road Trip Range Test, that's correct, four hundred and twenty two. That’s a bit more than the 440 miles GMC says it can do, but we kept it cruising at 70 mph, using up 95 percent of the battery. GMC’s range claim might be doable, but we just stop at 5 percent to make sure there’s enough juice to get to a charger. Oh, and GMC’s already announced a 20-mile range boost for 2025. Definitely a nice little upgrade

the motortrend test is really something and getting so close to the claimed 440 miles at 70 mph is a big deal. It's great to see real-world tests confirm the range numbers and the upcoming 20-mile range increase for 2025 is a bonus. They are making progress in the market and I"ll be more interested to see how that extra range performs in regular driving.
